Embroidery Hoop Art

This is a cute arts and craft. I just can't imagine it being very hard.
Looks retro to me, like something right out of the 70's .
Well this is what i saw on TV. They took about 5 Embroidery Hoops large , medium, and small.
You pull them apart and Wham you have now 10 Hoops. you spray them for the decor of the room you wish to put them in. They are kind of cute for someone. But I don't think will fit in my
decor. But if you try this good luck and put photo on the blog so I might see how you did. If you
have any other questions remember just ask meme. I took the photo from a HGTV show called
Decrorating Cents love the show it has been on for years, I have been watching for about 10-12 years. Well again have fun.

Up date on Birthday and the Dinner

Remember I blog about my birthday and about a recipe. Well all went on ,it was a great day and evening.

The days before I was receiving Birthday Cards, Birthday Gifts, and I say thank you to all my family and friends who sent them. Came home and one was hanging on my carved black bear. Oh!Let me tell you about my Dinner mushroom sage and chicken breast. That was the best and easy to boot, husband loved it to he loves mushrooms. Oh! will be making that again real soon.
you know today I received a birdhouse from ( The Backyard Bird Company ) It's called the
Bird House Cottage too !! cute even has flower box on the sides of the house and a hanging plant on the front porch. That came from my sister in law from Florida.
Well everyone have a wonderful weekend, I will be attending a Japanese festival. My daughter
in law plays the drums,she is from Japan and I will take lots of photos and put on blog this week. Also remember any Questions (JUST ASK MEME )

Sharing - Simply Recipes

III went to a sight called http://simplyrecipes.com/ you must go there if you like to cook simply I have made many thing from there recipes and they are good and quick. Just my kind of cooking and there is not a whole lot of mess. There are no more then 5 methods to making the recipes. My favorite so far are Oatmeal cookies,Lemon Mascarpone Blondie's,Apple Sausage Pie,Very good, and I am making Chicken Breasts with Mushroom Sage Sauce for my Birthday dinner can't wait will let you know how good it is next week. and also I am making my own Vanilla Extract,still weighting to use just made last week and need to shake and store in dake place for 2 months. If this works I will no longer have to buy vanilla extract @$ 2.98 in the store.
I think making dinner simply makes me a happy cook, because we live about 9miles from a store so when you go you get every thing you need @ the time. Also when you get back home you don't want to go back again believe me ( I have been there a couple of times. So go to the sight and pick out a recipe or recipes and let me know what you think!!

Thank you for another Birthday !!

Happy Birthday to me on the 23 . They seem to come faster now! When I was younger could not wait to be 13, then could not wait to be 21 well did that and now I am 50 something, vintage is all I know. I must say for the most part I have had a good life.
Well that is all I have to say about having another Birthday. I think I will have my daughter the baker make me a birthday cake.
I did see something so cute on a blog sight today, it was a cupcake pin cushion made out of felt they were so darn cute! Well got to go and get ready for my Birthday!! and Happy Birthday to all who have a birthday in February.

OUR FRIENDS

These are our friends who live in a little town out side of Atlanta, GA. They called last week to let us know they were passing through and will be going to there house in North Caroline we can not go right now but we had lunch and big laughs, an they left for the cabin in the woods. It is a two bedroom, two bath ,living, dinning, kitchen, that sits on 3ac of land so beautiful. The house sat dormant for ?3yrs/and they bought it just how it was left. The person who owned it got very sick and then the family put there father in a nursing home, Then the family sold the house and land (AS IS )and it was just that AS IS. It took Bob and Colleen and there family's help with clean up and haul away, I guess it tookthem about 6 mos/to ,paint ,remodel, it was a diamond in the ruff and what a ruff it was.As it turns out it is Home away from hame now. The house is so cute. My husband and I went up there for a long weekend in march of last year and it snowed and snowed and we had fun building snow women , went on 4 wheeler rides,an we just had a great time. Button Fun When The Weather is Bad

After reading my Martha Stewart needed something else to do. It was cold ,windy, rainy, so I started pawing into my box of crafty things to do.
Pulled out the box of buttons and started sewing buttons on pillows, winter scarves, and a bracelet, and some earring. You know had no idea how fun this was. took some photo's hope you will enjoy them, and remember just ask meme! about my buttons Love them .Oh! forgot made
my valentine cards for my grandchildren sent them out by mail saturday along with candy.

Thinking outside the box

Received my new Martha Stewart Living. You know it was all about Valentines all was so beautiful, from Dessert of the month,Pink glass bud vases, cookies,cupcakes, etc,etc.

But when I was reading and looking there was this one thing that caught my EYE!! It was

called think outside the box. Metal mailboxes offer stylish way to organize a front hall or a mud room. Woke up this morning , washed my face had my breakfast cleaned up my kithen, made my bed.
Then I sat at my computer and pulled up my e-mails read them one at a time. Got one from my friend Judy! and she said if this does not give you goose bumps! their must be something wrong with me,and she was right. I went to the sight called " BORN AGAIN AMERICAN "I got more then goose bumps I even had a little happy cry for the people I saw that are really proud to be americans.

Six More Weeks Of Winter !!!!!!!!! Oh No

I don't know about you , but I think I am ready for spring.

This cold weather is not even for the birds. Weather animals what do they know.

Just can't wait till the birds come back home. I can't wait for

the flower planting, gardening, and trying to walk me and the dogs more.

So stay warm and and pray for two more weeks I think is good.

WATER BOTTLE CAP OR SOAD CAP PIN CUSHION

MATERIALS AND TOOLS FOR FINGER PIN CUSHION



1) Water bottle cap or soda cap
2) Hole punch or ul
3) elastic 1/4 "wide and 1 1/2 long
4) small circle of fabric your choice
5) batting
6) thread
7) glue gun

DIRECTIONS:

* Take your bottle cap and make two holes in the top.
* Put your elastic down in the holes you made and make the eslastic like a ring on your finger.Tie off and glue down into the top.
* Next put fabric and batting together and tie off with thread.
